education

i'm not feeling particularly eloquent today, but i do have feelings about education.

i remember in 8th grade we had to make a poster on our biggest dream in health class.
i remember all i wrote was "go to college."
it was something that i wanted more than anything.
and i am incredibly happy that i followed through.

aside from the fact that career prospects increase with degrees and skills, i'm glad for all of the other opportunities that education has given me.

education is important for lots of reasons besides better spelling and understanding how to balance a chemical equation - it's a gateway to lots of other things that make for a happy, full life.
